The Durness Bus Company operates routes across the Far North of Scotland.  Connections are  provided from Kinlochberevie to Lairg, Inverness, Lochinver, Thurso as well as Durness and Scourie.  Booking is recommended.  If you need to transport a bicycle, please book at least 24 hours in advance.

Using public transportation to travel to and from the Far North is possible but takes a little planning.

Trains:  The nearest train station is in Lairg; it is on the Far North line between Thurso and Inverness.  The Durness Bus Company has a route that connects with the train.
