📢 North Highland Community Survey – Have Your Say!

BiGGAR Economics is creating an independent ESG Framework to help understand the current impact of the NC500 on local businesses, communities, visitors and the environment. This will guide future improvements and help strengthen cooperation across the region.

To make sure the report reflects real experiences, they

need input from residents, businesses, and especially young people.

Please share widely because the more voices they hear, the better for the North Highlands.

⏳ Surveys close on 23rd Dec 2025

Members of our Community Council attended a recent update meeting via Teams to hear more about the future Sallachy Windfarm transport and roadwork plans which will affect the Lairg Road.  We’ve been sent a copy of the presentation that was shared on the night, and we’re making it available here for anyone who’d like to see the information discussed.

Please note — this update has nothing to do with the Kinlochbervie Windfarm. It relates specifically to transport and roadworks that may affect local routes and travel in the months and years ahead. There will also be a public open day in Lairg on Wednesday 26th November, from 1pm to 6.45pm, where residents can drop in to learn more and share any feedback.

Further open days are expected early in the new year, once more details on the roadworks are confirmed. Click the image to download the presentation
