|Regular scheduled flights between Glasgow and Kinlochbervie could be happening by the middle of the summer!|
Passenger flights via seaplane leaving from the Clyde and landing in Kinlochbervie harbour could be taking place in time for the height of the summer tourist season.
Seaplanes such as this one owned by Loch Lomond Seaplanes would land on Loch Inchard and then taxi into the harbour to land their passengers on new pontoons to be build against the north wall of the harbour.
A new visitor reception centre would be build on the flat area of the harbour where a restaurant, shops, and new hotel accommodation would also be located.
Flights would be scheduled in accordance with the tides, as already happens with beach landings on the Isle of Barra, and shipping would be prohibited from entering or leaving the harbour for the two hours either side of the high tide for health and safety reasons.
